Honey

Warm the honey up to a temperature where it's still comfortable to use. Spread it evenly all over the affected area. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Afterwards, rinse it off with cold water to close off the pores.

Corn Flour

Make a paste from a mixture of corn flour and vinegar. Spread the paste over the areas affected by whiteheads and let it dry. Rinse off with warm water. This will dry the oil on your skin and scour out your whiteheads.

Lavender Oil

Brush your blackheads or whiteheads with lavender oil after washing your face. Do not rinse it off immediately in order to let your skin absorb the lavender oil.

Lemon

You can use either the paste made from lemon peels or lemon juice. Drench a cotton ball with pure lemon juice or the lemon paste. Dab this on your blackheads two or three times a day.

Tea Tree Oil

Apply tea tree oil to your blackheads or whiteheads two to three times a day. This will keep your skin clean and it will also prevent oil from blocking your pores.

Toothpaste

This only works with the white toothpaste. Any brand will do. Gel type toothpastes wont work. Spread a thin layer of toothpaste over the affected areas twice a week before going to bed. Wash it off with warm water in the morning.

Removing Blackheads and Whiteheads

There are many types of acne. Two of these types are blackheads and whiteheads. These two are not so different. Blackheads are partially blocked pores while whiteheads are fully blocked pores. Thankfully they are easy to get rid of, especially when compared to pimples. The pores in blackheads and whiteheads are not inflamed and are not too tightly and deeply blocked. Removing either follows a similar process.

Before using these treatments, try steaming your face or washing it with warm water. The heat will open your pores and loosen the dirt and dead skin cells that are clogging them. This will make it easier for you to remove blackheads and whiteheads.

Maintain Clear and Healthy Skin

With these homemade remedies, removing blackheads or whiteheads is easy. But it’s a lot easier to have no blackheads or whiteheads at all. Maintaining clear and healthy skin is the better solution to acne.

Maintaining clear and healthy skin may seem impossible if you’re a teenager. There’s no denying that you will have break outs. But when this happens, it shouldn't stay on healthy skin for long. Remember to eat right, drink lots of water and sleep eight hours a day. Consult acne treatment books or your dermatologist for more information.
